Release notes for Scania Diagnos & Programmer 3, version 2.8
Version 2.8 replaces version 2.7 of the SDP3 program and supports the earlier systems in P, G, R, T series and K, N series vehicles and Scania Engines.
New features:
General changes in version 2.8: The function that shows which assembly part numbers are supported has been improved and now always provides full details of the current issue. New function for displaying codes for emission-related fault types associated with legal requirements. The function for sending in operational data is now also used in jobs which are carried out with a USB key for Scania Engines. The descriptions tab is now also available in the ECU update work type. When you save an IO recording in an ECU system wizard or user functions wizard, you can select txt or PDF format. VCI2 firmware is automatically updated, if the VCI2 is connected to the PC when starting the program. Checking and updating of the VCI2 can also be carried out via an option in the menu bar. If an update is required, a button is displayed to carry out the activity, otherwise it is hidden. Performance tests are now adjusted so that registered vehicle data is retained during the session until the connection to SDP3 is shut down. This means that the user does not have to enter the same vehicle data, via step 2 and 3 in the wizard, each time a test is repeated for the same chassis while still connected.
